JNCL-NCLIS
Avant is a long-standing member of the Joint National Committee for Languages National Council for Languages and International Studies. Each year, Avant is a significant sponsor and participant in Language Advocacy Days when language leaders from around the United States meet with Congressional representatives to advocate for the learning of languages. JNCL-NCLIS’s mission is to ensure that Americans have the opportunity to learn English and at least one other language.
International Language Testing Association (ILTA)
In 2022, Avant became an Institutional Member of ILTA. ILTA is an international group of language testing and assessment scholars and practitioners whose dedication and work are respected both within and outside the profession, and who together define what it means to be a language tester.
Association of Language Testers of Europe (ALTE)
In 2021, Avant became an Associate Member of ALTE. ALTE is an association of language test providers who work together to promote the fair and accurate assessment of linguistic ability across Europe and beyond. ALTE was founded in 1989 by the University of Cambridge (UK) and the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain).
Excellence in Language Education (EAQUALS)
Avant joined Eaquals in 2021 as an Associate Member. Eaquals is an international non-profit membership association founded in 1991, independent of any commercial group, and exist solely to serve the interests of language learners and the language education profession. Eaquals members are organizations and institutions involved in the teaching and learning of all languages that pursue the highest standards.
Bilingualism Matters
Avant joined Bilingualism Matters in 2022. They are a community of organisations and individuals who share the commitment to make the research-based evidence on multilingualism and language learning available and accessible to families, communities, and professionals in education, health or policy.
IACAC – International Association of College Admission Counseling
Avant joined IACAC in 2023. IACAC’s mission is to facilitate global interaction among counselors and institutions in support of secondary students transitioning to higher education while promoting professional standards that fosters ethical and social responsibility.
